Gretchen Averette has 25 years of investing in the growth, development, and education of
children of all ages. Her broad experiences within public and private classrooms, homeschool,
curriculum writing and development, and advising parents have given her a unique perspective
of educational options.
Gretchen’s warm and compassionate demeanor coupled with her genuine love for kids enable
her to connect and build trust with parents and children alike. She is passionate about making
learning fun, overcoming obstacles, and helping students find the right tools to give them
ownership in their educational success. Gretchen helps families shift the home from
educational battleground to a soft place to land. Her personal experiences in the classroom
and homeschool ignited a life long love for meaningful education that highlights students’
strengths and interests.
Gretchen grew up in the Raleigh area and graduated from Meredith College with a BS in Child
Development with a focus on elementary education. She is happily married to her college
sweetheart and loves doing life with their three mostly grown kids.
