Colton Flick

Colton Flick graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in Film in 2016, and received a Master's Degree in Interactive Media from Elon University in 2020. He's been teaching for nearly a decade in the Triangle area across a wide variety of subjects. He's passionate about education, and the incredible benefits alternative educational models can have for students.Colton is particularly interested in teaching kids to both produce and analyze the kinds of media they love, whether that means designing games, writing novels, recording podcasts, producing
plays, or something else entirely. He believes that working on projects of their own helps students develop as creative thinkers, both in terms of artistic expression and in terms of imagining the ways they want to change the world in which they live.
When he isn't working, Colton enjoys reading, playing tabletop role-playing games, and working on his own creative projects. He's been on a years-long quest to read every book that's ever won a Hugo Award, and he's about half done.
