I have focused primarily on young people in my professional career and work particularly well with middle and high school-aged adolescents, college students and young adults. I believe in a multi-systemic and collaborative approach in working with individuals and families. Addressing family and social system as a whole is frequently a necessity, as all members of a person's community impact who they are, what they internalize and externalize. I work to help clients accept where they are and who they are while challenging them to work towards and reach their goals - to become the people that they want to be, holistically healthy individuals and families.
I have worked primarily in the non-profit, community mental health sector, treating a variety of conditions such as ADHD, Anxiety, Behavioral Challenges, Depression, Trauma, and other Serious Mental Health Conditions. Specific Evidence-Based Practices may also be used during sessions, such as Trauma-Focused CBT, Triple P Parenting, and Seven Challenges.
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment in which clients feel they are heard and valued. Everyone experiences challenges in life but no one needs to face those challenges alone. Seeking help shows strength and wisdom. I am excited to take that first step with you.
