Pili Johnson, educational consultant

Pili is excited to assist students individually or in small groups and to help them improve their Spanish skills. She will perform activities like monitoring student progress, identifying areas needing improvement, helping with understanding, and preparing students for assessment and daily activities. Pili has patience as many students she works with may have trouble understanding the content. Pili has a positive attitude and knows ways to motivate students when they become frustrated by the material they do not understand.

Specifically, Pili will help students with Spanish grammar, communication skills, time management, and interpersonal skills. She will support the process of student learning of content, explain how to understand skills in their area of weakness, and review content with them. Pili may also help students develop study skills and organization techniques to help improve their academic performance. Pili will assist students with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation to assist them in foreign language understanding.

Pili works with students in a one-on-one or group setting. Finally, Pili will offer encouragement and support to keep students motivated and ready to learn.

Pili's strengths are patience, flexibility, being funny, and showing compassion.  She is married and has a son in middle school, a daughter in high school, and three older stepchildren. Pili lives in North Raleigh and is excited about working with CES and forming relationships with families and students of all ages.
