Summer Programs
Elementary
Gap Camp
rising 3-5 grades

Beat the summer slump with our Summer Gap Camp to keep your child’s mind moving while having fun and avoiding the Summer Slump. Gap Camp is a half-day program from 9-12, Monday through Thursday, that will cover multiple topics, all taught by our highly-qualified CES consultants.
Classes include: Elementary Reading Success, Math Masters, Puzzles & Teasers, and Healthy Snacking.

Math Bridge

Your child will learn the skills necessary to make the jump from fifth grade math to sixth grade. With a focus on the necessary skills and standards for sixth grade, students will learn both math and organizational strategies to set them up for middle school success.

Math Bridge

Your child will learn the skills necessary to make the jump from eighth grade math to ninth grade. With a focus on the necessary skills and standards for high school math, students will learn both the math and the organizational strategies needed to set them up for high school success. This course will be offered once a week on Tuesday afternoons.
Middle School Executive Function
rising 7-9 grades

Middle school can be a difficult time for students as they learn organizational and study strategies, and oftentimes this difficulty is tied to lack of executive function. Led by both an academic coach and a licensed therapist, these sessions will focus on developing executive functioning strategies like organization, time management, task initiation, working memory, and more. Your child will leave these sessions with a toolbox full of the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
High School
Writing Foundations
rising 10-12 grades

In order to create a strong writing foundation, this course will focus intensively on active reading strategies for writing, effective note-taking, thesis statements and transitions, locating, evaluating, incorporating relevant sources, MLA format, and editing compositions. Focusing on analyzing Pop Culture in our society, students will explore interesting topics to practice a variety of writing styles. This course will meet twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays all seven weeks of the summer.
Budget Basics

Finances can be frightening and difficult to manage, especially if you’re having to navigate them yourself. Fortunately, Personal Finance is here for you to learn how to manage your money now, in college, and as an adult. With a focus on budgeting, financial planning, debt, and investments, students will learn how to set themselves up for success now and long into the future. Using real-world scenarios and authentic situations that most adults face, students will develop the skills that many adults wish they had learned in school.
College Success Series
graduated seniors

A one-on-one series offered by Dr. Krista Prince for recent graduates focused on how to successfully transition to college based on her many years of working in Universities. Each of the five sessions is designed to prepare students for academic and co-curricular success through interactive sessions that will incorporate self-reflection, learning, and application, with one virtual meeting once the student is in school. Families can choose when they would like to meet based on their schedules.
ACT Test Preparation
rising 10-12 grades

This program prepares students for the ACT college entrance exam in collaborative group sessions to help digest and problem-solve answers. Sessions include taught lessons/strategies tailored specifically to the ACT as well as practice problem review. Sessions offer intense work with an ACT expert in order to improve or obtain the desired score for admissions. ACT Test Preparation Course will meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer for a total of 19 sessions to prepare students for the ACT test on September 7.
SAT Test Preparation
