Michael Williams is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Educational Solutions (CES), a leading educational consulting firm dedicated to helping students, families, and schools create personalized pathways to success. With over two decades of experience in education, leadership, and organizational strategy, Michael combines his expertise as an educator with a results-driven business mindset to guide CES toward sustainable growth and meaningful impact.

Under Michael's leadership, CES has evolved from a regional consultancy into a multifaceted organization serving families across North Carolina and beyond. His strategic vision and operational expertise have allowed CES to expand its service offerings, while maintaining the personalized, student-centered approach that defines the company’s mission. His focus on team development, leadership capacity building, and continuous innovation has strengthened CES’s internal culture, ensuring the organization remains adaptable, efficient, and forward-thinking in an ever-changing educational landscape.

Before founding CES, Michael served as a teacher, school administrator, and educational consultant across both public and private sectors. His early years in the classroom shaped his belief that every learner’s success depends on understanding individual strengths and building systems that foster growth and development. As a school leader, he implemented data-informed instructional practices, strengthened curriculum frameworks, and designed professional development programs that elevated teaching quality and student outcomes. His leadership has consistently reflected a blend of empathy, strategy, and measurable results.

As an educational consultant, he has collaborated with schools and organizations nationwide to enhance governance, accreditation, and continuous improvement systems, helping institutions improve instructional quality and organizational performance. His work as an accreditation consultant with AdvancED refined his expertise in strategic planning and institutional growth. Additionally, his active participation with the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) demonstrates his unwavering commitment to advancing equitable educational access and family empowerment. In recognition of his leadership and advocacy, Michael was appointed to the University of Tennessee’s Family Board, where he helps strengthen university and family partnerships and shape initiatives that promote student success and engagement.

Michael's educational journey is a testament to his dedication to growth, innovation, and educational equity. He holds a Bachelor of Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master’s in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has also completed advanced studies in Academically Gifted Teaching through the University of Connecticut and training in the International Baccalaureate program in Calgary and Cincinnati. This diverse educational background reflects his commitment to lifelong learning and his belief in the power of education to transform lives.
