Tana's Story

Tana is a seasoned education and business leader with more than 18 years of experience spanning academic coaching, organizational leadership, and program development. She holds a B.S. in Applied Sociology from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, and pursued graduate studies in Counseling at Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, where she gained valuable insight into student support, human behavior, and personal growth.

As Chief Operating Officer of a growing educational solutions company, Tana blends her passion for learning with a results-driven leadership style. She oversees strategic planning, sales, marketing, HR, communications, and operations—ensuring the organization runs efficiently and continues to deliver exceptional value to students, families, and educators. Her unique ability to bridge educational insight with business acumen allows her to create systems that are both people-centered and performance-oriented.

A collaborative and visionary leader, Tana is known for her ability to inspire teams and nurture a positive organizational culture rooted in purpose and accountability. She has a proven track record of building effective teams, leading change, and aligning operations with mission and values. Tana excels at identifying opportunities for growth and innovation, and her approach to leadership emphasizes clarity, communication, and connection. She believes the most successful organizations are those where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to contribute their best work.

Throughout her career, Tana has held diverse leadership roles that have honed her skills in strategic planning, project management, and talent development. As CEO and Executive Producer of Solstice Films, she launched and led a nonprofit creative organization—building it from concept to operation by managing marketing, HR, client relations, and executive administration. In that role, she developed and executed strategic goals in collaboration with the board, fostered team excellence, and ensured the organization’s growth through clear systems, storytelling, and collaboration.

Earlier in her career, Tana directed large-scale educational and community programs, overseeing hundreds of volunteers and staff members, developing curriculum and training systems, and leading initiatives to improve engagement and outcomes. Her background in both classroom and administrative environments gives her a deep understanding of how to design processes that support learners while advancing organizational excellence.

Tana’s leadership style is grounded in empathy and strategic thinking. She thrives in environments where collaboration, creativity, and structure intersect—and she is especially skilled at transforming complex ideas into actionable, measurable strategies. Her strengths include communication, conflict resolution, staff development, curriculum design, and organizational alignment. She is equally comfortable guiding high-level strategic initiatives as she is mentoring individuals toward personal and professional success.

An NC native, Tana and her husband, Brian, have two grown children. She enjoys staying active through Krav Maga and pickleball, and finds joy in reading and writing. Above all, Tana is passionate about helping others realize their potential—whether through education, leadership, or personal growth—and remains committed to creating spaces where both individuals and organizations can thrive.
