Catherine Wagoner has served students in education for over twelve years. Born and raised in Browns Summit, North Carolina, Catherine attended East Carolina University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Child Studies--go Pirates!

While in college, Catherine worked as a tutor and a remediation teacher and helped children in the Pitt community as well as surrounding areas of Greenville, North Carolina. Catherine was also an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and participated in community service projects throughout the year. After graduation Catherine moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where she began her teaching career. Catherine enjoys working with all aged students and has been selected Teacher of the Year for four years and Lead Literacy Teacher for six years. 

 

Catherine’s strengths include; strategic planning, technology fluency, behavior modification, leadership, organizational skills, classroom management, lesson plan development, strong communication skills, differentiated curriculum implementation, individualized learning plan development, and working with a wide variety of children with special developmental and academic needs. 

 

Catherine’s expertise and skills enable her to have a personal relationship with her students as she works hard to create a rewarding educational experience for everyone. Her detailed work with executive functioning skills helps many students with planning, organization, working memory, flexible thinking and self control. Catherine helps students apply executive function skills throughout the day to learn, work and manage daily life. 

 

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys playing soccer, tennis and hanging out at the beach with her husband, Chris and their daughter Reilly Kate. Catherine is excited to work with new families and help them find success in education. Catherine is thrilled to be a part of the CES team.
