Twice-exceptional students often spend years receiving mixed messages about who they are as learners. They may be exceptionally bright, curious, and capable of advanced thinking, yet struggle with organization, attention, processing speed, or other learning challenges. In many traditional classrooms, one side of that equation tends to receive more attention than the other. Sometimes their strengths mask their struggles. Other times, their struggles overshadow their strengths.
