Parker Williams

Parker is a graduate of the University of Richmond, where he earned a double major in Political Science and Leadership Studies. While at Richmond, he was a Bonner Scholar, a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, and was selected for the prestigious Presidential Mentee Program. His commitment to public service and policy began early, with internships at the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy—where he worked on the living wage initiative—as well as at the Virginia House of Delegates and McGuireWoods Consulting.

Parker further expanded his global policy perspective through a study abroad program with diiVe in Cape Town, South Africa. There, he collaborated with representatives from Botswana, Nigeria, and Lesotho to develop healthcare policy recommendations for citizens affected by HIV/AIDS.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University on the Washington, D.C. track. In the summer of 2025, Parker will join the American Gas Association as a State Affairs Intern, where he will contribute to policy and government relations efforts in the natural gas industry.

Parker’s commitment to education and service began in high school, where he was an active member of student council for four years, volunteered at Rex Hospital, and tutored students through the Hope Refugee Tutoring Program. He completed a rigorous curriculum of Advanced Placement courses, including AP World History, AP U.S. History, AP Government, AP Art History, AP Environmental Science, AP English Language and Literature, AP Statistics, and AP Biology, in addition to numerous honors courses.

As an expert tutor, Parker brings strong skills in executive functioning, time management, and academic coaching. He has experience working with students in writing, language arts, English, and grammar, and he is especially passionate about guiding students through the college and graduate school application process. He offers support in essay writing, scholarship navigation, and ACT preparation.

Parker firmly believes that every student can find a school that meets their academic and social needs. He was accepted into a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Richmond, Georgia Tech, George Washington University, University of Virginia, University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Miami, Washington and Lee University, Colgate University, Villanova University, Lafayette College, UNC Wilmington, and Adelphi University.
